Our Vision

Holland High School places the student at the centre of everything and therefore the school's program revolves around the students with all other factors being peripheral and so we aim at creating:-

A SAFE, ORDERLY, DEMOCRATIC , FAIR AND SOCIALLY EQUITABLE CHRISTIAN ENVIRONMENT IN WHICH STUDENTS ARE CHALLENGED TO USE THEIR MINDS FOR HIGH STANDARDS OF ACHIEVEMENT AND ARE MOTIVARTED, TO EXHIBIT EXEMPLARY, SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR.

Our History

Holland high school was opened on September 01, 2004 as a joint ventre between the government and the Roman Catholic in Jamaica. The church provided the land and the government, through the Urban Development Corporation, financed the building and the M.O.E.Y.C is responsible for the operational cost.

The Catholic Priest in Montego Bay, Fr. Carl F, Clarke serves as the chairman of the Board of Management. This Board is very instrumental in spearheading major projects and working in tandem with the Ministry of Education to formulate policies.

Holland High School offers a Liberal Arts programme which emphasize basic humanistic, business and scientific principle. The programme challenges student to think critically and analytically and to be engaged in problem solving. They are strongly encouraged to be lifelong learners.

To prepare students to function effectively in a society with a growing range of opportunities, a vocational/technical programme has been introduced. Additionally, the students' appreciation for literature, music, drama and aesthetics is achieved through the academis curriculum and co-curricular activities.
